About Lily May

In March 2022 we saw Lily May wandering around the city. We notice that she is pregnant and reacted immediately. In addition, Lilly May had a visible problem with her eyes, most likely a nictitating gland prolapse. We assume that Lily May had an owner and was put on the street, her tail is docked but she did not carry a chip. Unfortunately, there are always heartless owners who abandon their dogs for various reasons. In the case of Lilly May, we assume that she was abandoned because, on the one hand, she was pregnant and, on the other hand, she has problems with her eyes. People on the street gave her a wide berth and avoided contact. This situation was very very sad. We are so happy that we could take her in and bring her into our care and we loved her from the first moment. In April 2022 the time had come and she had 5 puppies. After her puppies were no longer dependent on their mother, the pups were able to move within our shelter, but unfortunately tested positive for parvovirus, whereupon two of the puppies died despite immediate treatment. Tibra, Lane and Cane fortunately made it and survived the disease well. In the meantime, our doctors operated on Lily May’s eyes, but it was not possible to completely remove 100% of the protruding redness. Lily May is a very sweet dog with a beautiful character and will hopefully find her new loving home quickly.
